  Meika's is always a pleasure to walk into, the owners are knowledgable and always willing to help. The selection is great and there are always new things to look at when you walk in the door!! You can call and check to ensure the product you are looking for is on the shelf and they will quickly inform you so you don't feel you have wasted your time. If you are looking for a store that genuinely knows how to take care of your bird needs... Meika's is the store!

  I love this place. The staff are so knowledgeable and caring. You can tell they genuinely care about all shapes and sizes of birds, which I don't find at most places nowadays. I always admire the gorgeous birds they have in the store either their own, bird sitting or available for adoption. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

  Meika's Birdhouse is hands down the best bird supply store in the greater Edmonton area. The owners (Ian & Janine) are not only knowledgeable in birds, but are active in the bird and parrot community. They spend countless hours helping rescue birds and educating others on bird welfare. What I like most is that they rescue and adopt out birds, and aren't just another animal mill trying the sell birds. The store concentrates on providing information and supplies, not pets for profit. They also helped us find a great vet in Dr Pam Gordy, who is an amazing avian vet that has also given talks at the Edmonton Pet Parrot Association meetings. The amount of help and information we have gotten from Meika's, as well as the contacts we have made with parrot people through them is amazing, and I will continue to always give all of my business to this store.

  I'm so happy I found Meika's Birdhouse! I love having such caring and knowledgeable people taking care of my bird when I go on holidays. I highly recommend them!!
